Additional Design Projects

Adobe Illustrator - Pen Tool Realism Study

Project Type: Hyper-realistic vector illustration

Purpose: To practice advanced pen-tool control and refine my ability to build realistic objects entirely in Adobe Illustrator.

The Goal: To create a fully hand-crafted digital ring that demonstrates precision in gradients, highlights, shadows, and texture, without relying on raster effects.

Design Tools: Adobe Illustrator

Design Approach

I constructed the ring shape using only the pen tool and layered vector paths. Gradients, subtle shading, and controlled highlights were applied to achieve a polished, hyper-realistic finish. Every detail was manually drawn to strengthen accuracy, depth, and consistency in Adobe Illustrator.

Adobe InDesign - Restaurant Menu Redesign

Project Type: Multi-page menu layout design

Purpose: To build a fully structured, print-ready menu using professional layout techniques in Adobe InDesign.

The Goal: To learn and apply advanced InDesign workflows. Such as typography systems, styles, tagging, and multi-page organization. While redesigning a restaurant menu for better readability and hierarchy.

Design Tools: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator for supporting vector graphics

Design Approach

I approached this redesign by first considering the restaurant’s identity, a classic, old-time breakfast spot known for its comforting, homestyle atmosphere. Their space is filled with stained-glass lanterns, which inspired the custom lantern illustration I created for the menu cover. The goal was to highlight the restaurant’s nostalgic charm while giving the menu a cleaner, more organized structure.

I designed a clear typographic hierarchy using paragraph and character styles, balanced dense sections of menu items through spacing and alignment, and used master pages to keep recurring elements consistent across all pages.

The result is a menu that reflects the restaurant’s personality and is simple to navigate.
